Expected duration: 3 - 4 weeks Simple Inventory Management and Invoicing Application for a Small Wholesale Business We are a small Wholesale business that needs a simple inventory management and sales invoice application that will be hosted on AWS. The application will be used by our warehouse staff and sales staff to manage product inventory and sales invoices. The Application must be responsive as it will be used on both desktop computers and mobile devices. We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to help us develop this Application in PHP.
API Connections The Application will need API connections to the following third-party services providers: • Stripe (for credit card and ACH payment processing) • Currency Layer (for exchange rates) • API to connect to WooCommerce shopping website (wordpress website) to bring in orders from online customers Mass data uploads Upload data to the application via ms excel templates for: • Adding multiple products • Adding price lists • Adding multiple customers • Adding multiple suppliers Defined User Role Access Different employees will have different access levels that are aligned with their job responsibilities. – e.g. Warehouse Supervisor can receive shipments from suppliers and can ship customer orders out to customers, but the Sales Rep cannot do any of these functions. All of the employee job positions are assigned to specific user roles that have specific access levels. A Total of 8 defined user roles with defined access levels.
Business Process Outline Our warehouse operations that will be covered by this Application are very simple and can be summarized as follows: • Receive product inventory from suppliers into the Application • Update product quantities in the Application • Create Sales Invoice for customer orders and send sales invoice to customer’s email address • Customer pays via Stripe button/link on the Sales Invoice. Generate sales receipts for payments received from customers • Use the Paid Sales Invoice to trigger the order fulfillment process (i.e. generate order picking forms and order packing forms) • Create and Print Shipping forms • Print shipping labels and ship the order out to the customer
Reports Use Application transaction data to generate reports including: • Inventory tracking reports • Sales reports • Payments reports (via Stripe API)
