We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress developer with a strong background in coding for a membership/networking website. The selected candidate will be tasked with implementing custom coding solutions to enhance specific areas of our existing networking platform, particularly focusing on ProfileGrid plugin integration. Our website is designed to facilitate user networking and reviews, and we are looking to expand its functionality with the integration of an events page, a casting page, and additional features within the ProfileGrid plugin we currently utilise.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Integration of Events Page:
- Develop and integrate a robust events page within our existing website framework. - Ensure seamless integration with the current design and user interface. - Implement user-friendly features that allow members to create, manage, and RSVP to events. - Customise the events page to align with the overall aesthetics and functionality of the website.
2. Integration of a Casting Page:
- Create a dedicated casting page that enables users to post casting calls and collaborate with other members. - Implement a user-friendly interface for posting, viewing, and responding to casting calls. - Customise the casting page to meet the specific needs of our networking community. - Ensure that the casting page integrates seamlessly with the existing website structure.
3. ProfileGrid Plugin Expertise: (Desirable but not essential)
- Proficiency in the ProfileGrid plugin and ability to implement changes seamlessly. - Develop a functioning search feature allowing users to find each other seamlessly, preferably on a radius basis similar to Rightmove. - Integrate additional features within ProfileGrid, including an existing events feature, ensuring cohesion with the overall website structure. - Implement the groups feature within ProfileGrid, allowing users to create custom groups similar to those on Facebook.
4. Coding Expertise:
- Demonstrate proficiency in WordPress development, coding languages, and the ProfileGrid plugin. - Implement custom coding solutions to address the unique requirements of the events, casting pages, and ProfileGrid features. - Troubleshoot and resolve any coding-related issues that may arise during the integration process. - Optimise the website's performance and ensure compatibility with various devices and browsers.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with our existing development team to seamlessly integrate new features. - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide progress updates. - Collaborate with other team members to maintain a cohesive and user-friendly website experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a WordPress developer with a strong portfolio of successful projects. - In-depth knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Expertise in the ProfileGrid plugin and its customisation. - Experience with membership/networking websites and understanding of user review functionalities. - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
