Expected duration: 1 - 6 months We are a start-up consultancy founded in 2017, as a response to the persistent challenges and discrimination faced by racialised children across the services and support systems they rely on. We collaborate with decision-makers and stakeholders, to tackle the complex equity and inclusion challenges they face. We strive to achieve a reality where institutional and systemic barriers to inclusion are dismantled, and racialised children experience on part with any other children.
We are a dynamic and busy organisation, with 5 staff members, and a pool of associate consultants and trainers that support delivery of our work. Our office is based in London, with staff working remotely the majority of the time, and attending team meetings taking place in London a couple of times a year.
WE NEED In addition to being a creative person and excellent communicator (written and verbal), someone that has very good multitasking and organisational skills. Your technical skills, proactive approach and knowledge of social media, communications and marketing are needed to help grow our online and offline presence, brand, following and impact and support the effective growth and operations of our company.
We need someone that is a strategic social media and marketing professional, with knowledge, understanding and experience of communications and marketing for a social justice-focused organisation and/or mission.
A substantial proportion of our work focuses on racism, marginalisation and discrimination and as such personal experience and/or deep knowledge and understanding of these issues would be an advantage.
THE PROJECT For 3 months initially (March 24 - May 24), to provide 5 hours of support a month to provide the following:
- Develop, monitor and implement strategic Communications and Marketing Plan. - Design social media, marketing and comms tools for the team's use including platform posts, newsletter and templates. - Manage social media platforms activity, scheduling and engagement – Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram. - Lead on the design and publication of mock-ups, email campaigns, and social media content in collaboration with the team. - Contribute to development of a range of tools and templates such as case study, testimonial and referral to demonstrate the impact of our work.
