Responsible to Senior Software Developer to ensure an excellent level of technical design and development is delivered across to our customer meeting their needs.
The Developer is part of an agile development team, that builds and works on software systems on top of the Microsoft.NET development stack. The Developer is involved in assigned areas of development from design to development to testing as identified by Senior Developer. The Developer will perform Hardware and Software design work as required of the company on projects as identified by the Senior Developer and Group Technical Director.
Back-end coder for: • A Functional Directory like interactive Yellow Pages • Electronic Health record – for patients and solicitors/ hospital use • E commerce like any large online retailer • Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Shift etc integration
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain desktop, web-based applications and server-based business applications for all development projects and client deliveries. 2. Responsible for own day-to-day technical design and development work and for Mentoring Junior Software Developer. 3. Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software 4. Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards 5. Participate in reviews of solutions designs and related code 6. Package and support deployment of developed solutions and releases 7. Developing, refining, and tuning integrations between applications 8. Analysing and resolving technical and application problems. 9. Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering software solutions on-time and on-budget. 10. Providing support to customers 11. Deliver against department SLA’s and KPI’s. 12. Build close relationships with the key business stakeholders and clients 13. Identify and achieve improvements in Design performance. 14. Comply with culture of customer service and continual improvement. 15. Build close partnerships with our critical technology and service partners to enhance the relationship and quality of service. 16. Adhere and strive to achieve Design & Development strategies and objectives.
COMPETENCY 1. Educated to a degree level or equivalent 2. Significant background of Design & Development with at least 4 years’ experience service delivery or systems projects delivery 3. Hands on expertise across a broad range of ICT technologies (clients, applications, networks, infrastructure) 4. Experienced in influencing across the business management team. 5. Structured approach to change control, design control and continual improvement. 6. Demonstrates creativity in identifying opportunities and finding design solutions 7. The ability to inspire, motivate. 8. Initiative, drive and enthusiasm and results driven 9. Supervisory skills required, including the ability to coordinate the work of others. 10. Possess a broad range of IT knowledge, and willing to take on design based technical issues. 11. Possess a background in a Design & Development position, with a proven track record of leading staff to consistently meet and exceed the required levels of customer design. 12. Expert understanding of object orientated programming concepts 13. Expert understanding of relational database design and querying concepts 14. Familiarity with version control concepts JNR 15. At Least 4 Years experience in using Microsoft .NET development using C# 16. At Least 4 Years experience in web development, UI/UX front end development using ASP.Net Core, Razor and Entity Framework. 17. At Least 4 Years experience of client/server application development 18. At Least 4 Years experience of agile development methodologies 19. Comprehensive Knowledge of unit testing theory
