I am looking for a sewing machinist/seamstress to stitch together sections of a bow cover, up to a size of approximately 4m x 4m. The fabric to be stitched is a 100% Acrylic, 320gsm, stretch water resistant fabric. I believe it will require a double, zig zag stitch in places with a heavy thread to cope with the strain under stretch conditions.
Do you have any experience of this type of work and would you be equipped to do this? It is my understanding that a 'Fox Hole' setup will be required to perform the stitching. If you are able to do this, what information would you require in order to provide me with a quote? Would the boat covers dimensions be sufficient, along with drawings of the cover sections of the boat?
If we can come to some arrangement, I can provide a pattern for the design, although it won't be nearly as complex as the average garment pattern. Although I know your hourly rate, really what I am looking for would be an estimated cost per boat cover.
What would be your earliest availability to do this and how long do you think it will take you to complete the cover? Also, do you require a deposit and if so, how much? Thanks.
If this works out on the cost and finished item to spec, there will be more of the same work available if you were interested.
