Expected duration: 1 - 6 months We are looking for a marketing and sales manager for our hobby and craft wholesale company.
We’re a small UK-based distributor who represent a handful of brands across the globe. We are looking to reach small and medium sized shop businesses within the UK.
Your task will be to put together and manage your own process of finding new leads. You’ll need to find a way to locate potential customers across the UK in our high streets and towns. Typically, these customers are independent or family traders. It is our understanding that you will best reach these leads with traditional marketing approaches, such as telephone calls and marketing material sent via post.
We also have a list of lapsed and archived customer data. It would be useful to go through this and identify any customers who are still trading. You will create a plan on how to reach out to these customers and find out information such as: why and when they stopped buying from us, if they still carry the same type of crafts that we offer (and if not, what are they selling now) and finally, to see if you can make a sale.
It is desirable but not necessary to have a personal or a professional knowledge and/or experience within the hobby and crafts sector.
You will have a particular strength speaking to customers using the telephone and to be able to gather information and to make a sale. Your other strength will be in providing your marketing experience in directing us in how we can create marketing materials that can be sent to prospective customers.
We will support you by providing you with all the information to understand where our products fit within the crafts sector, and help you understand about the type of customers that we have.
You will be a UK resident who can speak fluently in English.
