I have started coding a WP plugin for a custom post type with a private RSS Feed.
The custom post type is "private podcast", however, it does NOT need to be submitted to podcasting services at all. It's simply a custom post type on the website with a podcast RSS template.
The part I need help with now is getting the authentication setup.
I'm essentially trying to create a unique URL per user to access their private RSS feed and be able to paste their URL into their podcatcher software. But if the URL is shared, it does not allow anyone access to the user's account on the website. The shared URL is likely to give access to the content, that's ok and why it should be unique per user for tracking.
So I need someone who knows how to make my custom post type RSS feed private, accessible only to active WC Members via a unique URL per user.
Additionally, need to work on this right away (I know, typical, need it yesterday).
I expect it to be quite a quick task for someone who knows what they're doing. I just have very little experience in the RSS and Auth realms.
