IMSO PRO is looking for a Freelance-to-Hire exceptional creative. This is an exciting opportunity for a remote Art Director/Graphic Designer to get involved in Maine’s vibrant cannabis industry. We are looking for an inspired candidate to provide creative direction and work collaboratively with marketing for client projects and our own need to develop products and marketing materials as the industry continues to evolve.
The candidate should have some enthusiasm for the world of cannabis and experience creating brand assets for print, packaging, signage, and electronic media. The designer will be responsible for generating creative work for digital and print needs, including (but not limited to); brand and logo development, sales & marketing, collateral pieces, corporate partnerships, mock-ups, and collateral, along with social media.
Ultimately this is an incredible opportunity in a booming industry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for understanding and communicating through design the ethos and uniqueness of Maine without using either a lobster or a lighthouse. Ideally, we find you - a fun, quirky, honest team player that is preferably located in Maine or within the Northeast Region of the US.
Please be willing and able to brainstorm and strategize with the marketing team to help develop creative direction focusing on brand building and brand refinement. Provide art direction on small- and large-scale projects from creative conception to completion. You’ll be a lead in directing and executing design and creative assets as prescribed by creative/marketing briefs in collaboration with marketing, account teams, and clients.
Share interim work with the Marketing Director for the purposes of collaboration and integrating client objectives of brand development. Ensure brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
Produce collateral within the brand, explore new interpretations of the brand, and develop out-of-the-box approaches to grow the brand's visual identity.
Must be proficient in:
- Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign (required) - Familiarity with, or desire to learn, After Effects, Premiere - Experience with WordPress, and SquareSpace, HTML, CSS & development principles, a plus - Work collaboratively with marketing - A firm grasp of brand building and logo design experience - Understand and be able to deliver brand style guides
