The circumstances around this matter are as follows:
1. A company director who was responsible for payroll and had unfettered access to the bank account has paid his wife a monthly amount in spite of the fact the his wife has no connection at all with the company, has never carried out any formal or informal work or services of any kind for the company. 2. The director died on 22nd September 2020 and when the payments were eventually discovered, the last payment was made to his wife on 28th February 2021. 3. The wife has now brought about a claim for unfair dismissal, which is quite bizarre, but nevertheless needs to be defended.
We require legal support so that a letter before action can be written to the wife stating that we intend to recover the money incorrectly paid to her.
We also need input in rebuking the unfair dismissal claim which she has lodged through ACAS.
Please provide a fee proposal to review the documentation, write one letter to the wife and provide a summary of the steps we need to take to defend the unfair dismissal claim.
