Expected duration: 1 - 2 weeks We are looking for a Front end developer (no backend required) to help us with designing and coding various web pages.
Our website https://www.theorsociety.com uses Umbraco and we have a series of pages that either needs redoing or new page creating. This will be an ongoing project.
Umbraco is like WordPress, but ours is a lot more restrictive. You can create rows and columns and there are various widgets such as embed media, text box..., but outside of the widgets certain effects like placing images within the text, modals, accordions, flip boxes etc. need to be coded specifically to that page so that it doesn't affect the rest of the page.
How we would like to work, you're given a brief with all the information that we need on a page for the project/event, we would then require you to come up with a concept for the layout (We have an in-house copywriter so can use lorem test for laying out text, they will just need to know how much space they have and we have a designer who can if needs be to create the images to size). We would require you to build out that page.
I need someone who is creative and quick as we have short timescales to turn these pages around.
An example of the first task will be to create a landing page and subsequent pages for our annual conference https://www.theorsociety.com/events/annual-conference/ With all the key selling messages to encourage someone to book onto the conference. I will provide you with a full brief about the conference, target audience, USP's, etc.
Must be able to code HTML/CSS/Javascript (we do not need any ASP.NET or UMBRACO development), would be desirable if you can design your own assets and write copy.
