The website will aggregate content from selective sources. these sources will be jointly identified with the developer. content in the form of news, blogs, articles need to be pulled via RSS and other means and categorised and published on the website.
All the content has to be specifically for sports and specifically for all popular sports in Australia. Google Adsense integration will be required. Direct advertising options also need to be built. 95% of the content will be sourced through feeds, 5% will be own articles published through feeds.
Integration of Taboola or Outbrain will be required.
The website needs to be fully SEO optimised and the page construct has to have all the best practices implemented.
The work done by the developer will be cross verified for quality of code and page speed performance (needs to be under 5 seconds)
Using a theme is not preferred (to reduce the bloat) and custom design is required. However, you can Referrence the design from some related content aggregation WP themes and even give references of the theme during the design process.
Come up with a suggested sitemap first and some simple wirframes to finalise the screens and the user flow before we do the actual design.
Need an expert level experience in WP and will be good if similar work has been done in the past.
Once this site is up, there is more development (e-Com, CRM) that is on the cards. Plus three other websites.
You should have a good work portfolio on WP and similar open source frameworks.
