Expected duration: Ongoing The CEO of our company is looking for an experienced and highly capable Executive Assistant who can work alongside him to help manage his workloads, organise his tasks and schedules, and scale up his free time.
This is an exciting and varied role that will offer lots of room to grow and take on new opportunities, for the right person.
We need you to be:
- In a UK or close timezone - Experienced (3-5 years working at EA level and/or for CEOs or founders) - Comfortable using Google Sheets & Docs, and Gmail – familiarity with Airtable and Notion a bonus - Available to work 10-15 hours a week (to start with — this may turn into a full-time role for the right person)
Who you are:
- Highly organised - Proactive and asks to help rather than waiting to be given tasks - Good at using your initiative and working independently, but comfortable with asking questions when needed - Responsive and reliable - Great at meeting deadlines - Good at prioritising and managing multiple workloads
What you'll be doing:
You will be the CEO's sole assistant and as such, you'll be helping him on a variety of tasks. Although day-to-day / week-to-week may be varied, you can expect to work on tasks such as;
- Managing his emails and task lists to ensure he’s on top of things and setting priorities effectively - Chasing people via email when needed - Giving daily/regular updates regularly on where things are and what’s happening to get any issues solved - Generally ensuring nothing gets missed and tasks are actioned - Helping to organise his personal and work-related files, documents, lists, etc. — and helping to come up with systems that he can use himself - Admin-related tasks for his investment fund, e.g. adding companies to a Twitter list, creating directories, writing quarterly updates to share with LPs, sharing deal flow each week, monitoring portfolio company updates, etc.
Crucially, you'll be helping take work away from the CEO, freeing him up to spend more time on the matters and projects that really need his input.
Much of this role is teachable — you'll be shown how to do many of the tasks listed above. What's most important is your enthusiasm and willingness to help, your knowledge of how to keep things organised, and your ability to be proactive in getting stuff done.
