I am an American psychologist and psychological anthropologist working in northern Tanzania to complete a study that conceptualizes, operationalizes and explains well-being/happiness in a population sample in this unique region. My data (mixed methods) are all collected and already prepared and cleaned and coded in an SPSS dataset. I have a number of analyses I'd like to run now and more later.
I'd like a masters or higher level statistician with at least four years experience working with data in academia (not only theory). You need to be within a few hours of my current time zone (Chicago). Some required skills: know how to work with a population weighted sample; be a good thinker, a crystal clear communicator and able efficiently answer social science questions with analyses (not just theorize); teach or have taught statistics.
To give you specifics: Some statistical analysis I have already run and need done again or need run for the first time:
1) Who among the demographic subgroups in the population is happiest and most unhappy? Who are most and least demonstrative of mental health symptoms? 2) Reduce data among seven covariate domains of variables (e.g., economic, social, religious, health, etc) 3) test explanatory models of well being and of mental health? 4) compare explanatory models of coded constructs with those of self-reported constructs and explain differences.
I will have more questions beyond these.
I have worked with consultants previously and can quickly organize our work to get answers to questions. Because the work often produces new clarifications required, I am interested in an hourly relationship to be carried out in chunks that address a given wave of questions. I need 4-5 hours initially. We can discuss
In responding to this posting please say:
1. Do you have the specific experience I am requesting? And kindly describe it in brief. 2. What is your availability: how many hours a week and with what lead time for the initial 5 hour chunk and then several future five hour chunks? 3. Hourly rate 4. When would you be available in the next week to discuss and define the first chunk of work and deliverables?
