Expected duration: less than 1 week We are looking for a talented and creative freelance graphic designer to work alongside our team across our portfolio of publishing and events. You will be laying up the magazine for print as well as online. Attention to detail is a must.
We are an independent publishing company with a bi-monthly property magazine in print as well as online. We also run various events organising B2B conferences, training, corporate networking and award ceremonies - most of which are currently online due to the pandemic.
Essential skills required:
Previous experience in magazine design / layout Adobe Creative Cloud (incl. InDesign), Fluent written and spoken English essential
Magazine Brief Magazine layout and page design for a 48 page magazine. This is produced bi-monthly and will take on average 3 days to complete. (Content will be compiled and provided in page number folders together with a flatplan)
This project is for our April issue and the project would be due to take place in late March/ early April for approx 3-4 days.
We have a template for the magazine in indesign.
1. We would need the front cover image updated to match the issue theme as well as text changes including issue number, contents and headline.
2. Update contents, images and text for the contents pages (x2). Text will be provided by our sub editor who also assists and can update this on the indesign file if necessary.
3. Add images and placing text provided for editorial pages - using a basic template for each section of the magazine. Examples will be provided from past issues and this will also be on the template. (approx 24-26 editorial pages) Our sub editor will also assist on editing the text on the page if there is a lot of over matter etc.
4. Adding adverts provided by external advertisers to appropriate pages as per flat plan provided.
5. Providing pdf for our digital edition of the magazine. Link to one of our recent issues in digital form will be provided.
