Expected duration: 1 - 6 months My client is an agricultural consultant, and wishes to create an online budget calculator for his clients as well as other consultants.
The tool will be web based, and built using asp.net core MVC.
There will be two main customer types - farmers and consultants
Farmer will be able to :
- Register and input basic data about their farm (address, phone number, farm code) - Add additional users to access their account - Create multiple budgets. Each budget will contain: - A starting balance + valuation of all assets - Any enterprises (Dairy, Arable, Forestry, Livestock etc.). These will then determine what pre-determined fields will be available - Depending on the enterprises selected, various input fields will then be available for entering costs and income - Farmer will enter costs and income for each month across the required date range (typically 4 years, but customiseable). - Must be able to add additional fields - so costs/income can be further broken down - Any loans outstanding. These will be broken down and monthly payments calculated - Multiple years (4 minimum.. this may be flexible so they can add additional)
The farmer will essentially add values for each month of the selected period, stating what their costs and revenue will be for each pre-determined category. Additional categories can then be added by the farmer to better categorise their income/expenses.
Once done, the farmer will be able to generate various reports based on this data - profit/loss, cashflow, balance sheets, loan summary, fixed asset summary etc. The date range for these should be configurable.
Farmer will then be able to clone each budget, in order to create and test various scenarios, such as adjusted milk prices, changes to subsidies etc.
Farmers will be able to export budgets in XML, then re-import data from a similar XML import.
Finally, farmers will be able to grant access to consultants to access and manage their data on their behalf
- Consultants will be able to register as a business, and add as many employees as they wish. Consultants will then be able to request access/accept access to farmers data. Once they have been granted access, they will have all the functionality of a farmer as specified above - add/edit view budgets and generate reports.
Consultants will also be able to create template budgets, which can then be cloned to a customers account.
