We desperately need technical help with our store which is suffering from loading times of over 20 seconds for uncached pages in production mode (Cached pages load in under 2s), most of which is down to TTFB.
The reason we need to lower the uncached loading time to around 5s is that our stock changes all the time by a third party software that bypasses Magento's "save" and we have over 25,000 pages so it is impractical to rely 100% on a cache warmer or the pages to be cached all the time. In fact, with 20s+ loading time for uncached pages, if google and bing start crawling, then the server will die in minutes.
We are running this currently on a NginX 8-core CPU 12GB RAM and it makes no difference to the speed.
