As the CTO for a number of companies, I take the responsibility for all development work across various sites and projects. We currently have a growing need for a Wordpress Wizard to help bridge the gap between what our web designers can do and what the functional requirements are for each site.
We're looking to have someone whos available for help with various size wordpress projects as at the moment our Web Designers knowledge of PHP and Wordpress backend is limited. You should have excellent Wordpress and WooCommerce knowledge and experience, combined with solid PHP, HTML and CSS skills to accommodate the requests.
Currently we have around 25 Wordpress sites in our portfolio; a few ecommerce shops and a few subscription based membership sites. All of which are using Elementor as the base (as our designer can get 80% of the sites requirements done here). However we have a number of requirements that are going to need some custom functions and plugins, as well as a handful of bugs that need sorting.
The need for assistance will be on-going should you be interested in a long term arrangement. At the moment we have a pressing need to get a number of features, functions, bugs and customisation worked on (ideally some starting on Sunday 13th, if possible) the top priority project is below;
This site is a paid membership content portal, where visitors pay a monthly subscription to get unlimited access to the contents. We're using WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscription, WooCommerce Membership and WooBuildFunnels (Aero Checkout) for the checkout funnels, the payment gateway used is from the FinTech platform previously mentioned however the implementation is very similar to Stripe. Here are some of the task:
**Failed Order Handling ** Through our custom 3 step funnel (personal info page, address page, payment details page) set up, which is purchasing a trial membership/subscription, if the payment fails the user is correctly directed back to the payment screen. A failed order will be created together with a new user account. At the moment the payment gateway has a single decline response without any reason/error code, however next week we'll hopefully have the error code relevant to the reason for failure (e.g. not enough funds, unaccepted card type, incorrect details. Until we have this information being passed to us; what we'd like to do redirect the failed user to 1 of 3 different URL based upon which 1 of the three checkouts they processed through, but we don't want to add the user (although keeping the failed order would be handy). Once we have the failed order error response code ideally we'd like to make sure the user bounces back to the correct step e.g. step 2 for an address issue or step 3 for card related issues. The same again will be if the payment fails we don't want to create an account, but if possible keeping a failed order would be handy for anlaysis.
**Intermittent Account Creation** We have an intermittent issue that will sometimes see a failed payment not create an account but still records a failed order. However in some cases there are times where the user create an account. We're unsure what the cause of this problem is
**Styling/Layout Editing** On our ecommerce store, we're using Elementor, WooCommerce, WooCommerce Subscriptions, All Product for Subscriptions and Variation Swatches for WooCommerce. We have various parts on the product pages that we wish to add subheaders and change the styling/layout.
The above tasks are just some examples of what we might need work looking at. However these are also the pressing task that I'd like to work on ASAP, as I said ideally Sunday.
I also come from a development background with good wordpress, woocommerce and php knowledge, so I'm able to hopefully aid and assist productively when discussion the implementations and solution.
