We have not a system that has an element which uses python and we are having some issues with this on a new environment we are migrating to. The code works fine on the current environment but on the new environment it appears to be having problems making a connection.
We just need someone to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with one of our developers.
We need this assistance asap.
More detail on the issue is:
This is a summary of the issue, is this something you can assist us with:
We have a docker containerise python service and within that service there`s a python class that uses Microsoft ODBC 17 driver for SQL Server that connects to SQL Server, which then uses Sqlalchemy engine to model the tables within a given database. This seems to work fine in our current Linux VM and on a docker platform, but as we are migrating servers we have replicated the steps to create stacks and services on the new environment also a Linux VM and on a docker platform as well via the same docker-compose file. However we are experiencing a pyodbc.ProgrammingError whereby the service is unable to create the ORM models that it needs to effectively communicate with the SQL database.
Please see below for the full error:
[746] [ERROR] Error setting up ORM: (pyodbc.OperationalError) ('08S01', '[08S01] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server]Communication link failure (0) (SQLEndTran)') (Background on this error at: http://sqlalche.me/e/e3q8)
