Expected duration: 1 - 6 months International research group is seeking an experienced and resourceful Data Entry Assistant on a flexible basis to expand our database.
This would require up to 10 hours per week for an initial 2 months, and then indefinitely depending on progress.
The successful applicant would: - Scan, navigate and download data from online data platforms and dashboards - Input quantitative data from online sources into our in-house Excel database, both manually and using Vlookups and other techniques (e.g. pdf to excel conversion, text-to-column, etc.) - Provide regular progress updates to research team - Over time, with more experience, undertake web searches for new data sources and datasets
We are looking for applicants with: - Exceptional attention to detail - Patience and tolerance for navigating large datasets - An efficient and productive approach to working - Experience with MS packages and Google Docs - Familiarity with managing databases including using Vlookups and other basic excel formulae - Awareness of names of cities around the world, and vigilance to foreign language variations
