I've been painting & decorating, tiling and being a chippie (carpenter) for the last 30 years, and hardly ever needed to advertise. I have concluded that clients employed me for my professionalism and although a bit late in the day I should follow suit, especially during Covid and these unemployable times. I have spent these dark few months actively researching the digital advertising professions. I expect it will all lead to direct marketing, website and optimization. So further work would be paid at the going rates.
To start with I am looking at a logo that carries an original image of a Shield of Arms. The shield would be traditional in nature. We often wore the PDA's logo on our t shirts but they stopped this some years ago. Just yesterday at Travis Perkins I saw a builder with his own coat of arms logo on the back of his van. It really looked the part. I’ve attached a diagram labelling parts of the Shield of Arms. The shield should have a crest/ crown and be supported by stags or lions. The bottom mantel would have the banner of 'William & Son Decor'. The charges of the shield would display the tools of our profession such as the paintbrush, a person sawing and perhaps for tiling a mosaic pattern ? Are you laughing yet ? I am, but I feel sure you could make it workin your own style. I have attached the labels of a typical coat of arms. Sincerely Will
