Seeking development services to recreate an existing video playback and touch interface application utilizing modern programming framework (Such as Unity) that was originally developed in Flash. This program was originally designed for an artistic A/V installation that featured 8 individual screens mounted on a wall in different display orientations (portrait & landscape) and a touch screen kiosk which users could interact with totaling 9 windows. We are looking to replicate this functionality to its entirety along with additional flexibility for interface changes in the future.
Technicals of the current installation:
This installation is powered by a single Windows system utilizing two video cards creating 9 desktop screens. When opened, the original program launches 8 video playback windows and 1 kiosk touch interface window. Using a mouse, you are to drag each respective playback window to a corresponding display. Once all of the windows are in their correct display, hitting the F key puts all the playback windows to full screen and then hitting the S key saves the coordinates of each window so that upon reboot, the program starts and the playback windows return to their assigned locations.
When the touch kiosk is not being interacted with, each of the 8 displays (except for the kiosk window) will play its own 45min “screensaver” video on a continuous loop.
The kiosk interface has 8 different touch buttons that, when touched, triggers different video or photo playback across all 8 displays on the wall for roughly 30 seconds then reverts back to the screensaver videos. Video and photos are stored in a folder tree with fixed file names the program is pointed to.
