We have an existing WP site where we need a small piece of expert help to improve the configuration of a single page so that images and galleries load reliably in sharp resolution and quickly. It's a short job for a developer and needs to be done as soon as possible.
The site has been built by a novice non-developer using plugins and Elementor Pro.
Purpose of the site: to provide charities with a platform to host virtual shopping fairs. The site is effectively a referral site that uses galleries (drawn from custom posts). Each fair has its own page, displaying the same content (ie galleries) as the other fairs, but with its own header identity. The content is displayed in one scrolling long page with a sticky menu . There are 8 galleries each with its own filters for navigatiion. In all the galleries pull in about 140 posts each with external links to shopping sites. It uses shortcodes to draw the info, but many of the images are showing up as blank grey squares when viewed in Safari and on iphones. The images are optimised using Siteground’s image optimisation.
Galleries are generated using a well-regarded plugin called The Grid https://theme-one.com/the-grid/ by Theme One.
Target outcome: have all the images configured so they render properly and quickly across different devices with clear instructions on how to optimise new images in future posts.
