WordPress Membership Site with Memberful Integration - MVP Build
Project Overview We're launching a membership-based education platform for lifetime income decisions. We need an experienced WordPress developer to build our MVP using existing Figma designs and integrate with Memberful, ConvertKit, and a Retool-powered app.
Technical Requirements
Core Stack - CMS: WordPress with Astra Business Consultancy theme - Hosting: Kinsta (staging environment provided) - Membership: Memberful - Email/CRM: ConvertKit - Interactive App: Retool (embedded via iframe with JWT auth)
Key Integrations 1. Memberful membership management (Free tier at launch) 2. ConvertKit email capture and automation 3. JWT authentication for gated Retool app 4. Stripe payment processing (via Memberful)
Scope of Work
Phase 1: Setup & Theme - Configure Kinsta staging environment - Install WordPress + Astra Business Consultancy theme - Create child theme with existing Figma design tokens - Set up Git repository and deployment workflow
Phase 2: Memberful Integration - Configure Memberful for Free Explorer membership tier - Set up Memberful-hosted login/signup flows - Integrate ConvertKit with Memberful for tag syncing - Test membership functionality
Phase 3: Page Development Build 7 pages using existing Figma designs (Minimal new design work needed): - Homepage (hero, content tiles, footer) - Learn (/learn) - content hub with blog post previews - Connect (/connect) - "Coming Soon" with ConvertKit form - Membership (/membership) - benefits overview + signup CTA - Tools (/tools) - gated page with Retool iframe - Legal pages (Terms, Privacy, Contact) - Blog post template
Phase 5: Custom Block & QA - Develop LS-Embed Gutenberg block for future content - Cross-browser testing and performance optimization - Documentation and handoff

What We're Seeking
Experience - WordPress custom theme development (child themes, hooks, filters) - Membership site integrations (preferably Memberful, but similar platforms OK) - Third-party API integrations (ConvertKit, Stripe, JWT) - Modern WordPress development (Gutenberg blocks, REST API) - Performance optimization (Lighthouse scores 90+)
Bonus Points - Memberful platform experience - Retool or similar app embedding - ConvertKit WordPress integration - Astra theme customization
