We have a sales solution/news aggregator website (not eCommerce) that is currently hosted on a proprietary CMS platform that we need to migrate to an open source solution such as Wordpress or Drupal.
The website consists of the following:
* Homepage — video background, content slider, selected featured news
* Twelve static sales info pages (text/images)
* Terms of Use and Privacy Policy page
* Contact form
* News front page (selected featured news, latest news)
* News search/archive page
* News article template
* News article print friendly template
* News by topic template
* RSS feed subscribe page
* Contact list subscribe page
We are looking for a contractor that will help us with the following:
* Set up a Wordpress or Drupal environment with optimized speed (server configuration, etc)
* Take our existing HTML/CSS/JS and adapt to a CMS theme
* Rebuild the static pages in the CMS
* Migrate news and archive news in the CMS (data mapping and import)
* Setup a custom solution for auto-importing of news from an RSS/XML source
* Setup a custom solution for automatically moving news to the archive after a period of time (after 30 days old)
* Integrate QuoteMedia Qmod widgets into templates
* Allow selected news to be featured on a front page
* Create a contact list building form
Additionally, not required for this bid but we are also seeking the following assistance:
* Newsletter migration — setting up a newsletter template, migrating existing contact lists, any opportunity for automated workflows where possible
* Post to Twitter automation — automatically have imported news post to our Twitter timeline.
Contractor should be well versed and experience with open source CMS platforms, implementing plugins and/or plugin development as well as theme development.
