I am not sure about the art style I want to use so please bear with me. I am looking for someone to help me with artwork for my Twitch, Youtube, Tiktok, Twitter, etc. I had an idea for a starting stream intro/outro and that is what the animation would be used for.
About me
My name is Gellix, I am not big on the internet by any means. It is mostly a hobby and a way for me to be creative. However, I have been doing content creation off and on for about six years and I thought it was time to make my social media and Twitch stream a little more professional with some flair.
Details of the work
I want to blend the ocean and space as a theme for my channel/social media.
For the logo, I was thinking of a constellation of a 'G', or the octopus is the shape of a G.
I want to use an octopus as my mascot. I want one where it is realistic and one more cute cartoon/anime-ish (more info below on why two different styles for the same mascot).
As for the animation aspect of the work. I was thinking something along the lines of an Octopus is looking for food and a fish shoots out of some plant life (or something like that it doesn't have to be a plant). While it is chasing the fish there could be little easter eggs of Tv and movies I like scattered across the ocean floor. Maybe on the top of the surface of the water, it says "Stream Starting Soon" with a shimmer/wavy look like you are underneath the water. I'd want it to just chase the fish through a bunch of different underwater environments. I would like the video to be able to loop and start the chase again until I am ready to start the stream.
In the second part of the video, once I am ready to start my stream, I would want the octopus to finally catch the fish and take a bite out of it. I heard some fish can cause hallucinations. That is where the Octopus would trip out and the ocean would start melting into space. This is also where the Octopus would change from the more realistic one to a cuter anime/cartoon style. Once that happens it floats through space with some glowing jellyfish in the background to add some ambiance. It would reach a part where there are stars in the sky. As it gets closer to the stars lines would connect them to spell out "Gellix" in a style of constellations. I was thinking maybe the Octopus would fill in one of the letters if you can make it look good. If not, I am sure we can come up with a way to incorporate the octopus into the ending.
The outro would have the octopus coming down from its high, space would slowly turn back into the ocean where it would swim to its home. During this time the octopus would turn from the cute anime/cartoon back to the realistic one. I haven't thought too much about the outro this is just a basic idea/placeholder.
An offline screen for twitch to match the ending of the outro. I would want them to sync up.
Emotes for the channel with the cute octopus (3 to 5)
Overlays for scenes. For example Webcam - chat, Game - Chat, etc, etc with the background being the animated jellyfish.
Transitions 2 - 3. I wanted some neat ways to go from one scene to another on twitch. For example, the octopus swims on stream, sprays ink everywhere, and then it falls off the screen or the octopus wipes it away to reveal the next scene.
A "Be Right Back" where the octopus comes on the screen. An example: The brightness gets turned down like the lights went off. The octopus sets a flashlight down doing shadow puppets of random things (animals, letters, etc etc).
Short videos/gifs of the octopus mad, sad, happy, and one where it looks like it is using a keyboard and mouse on a loop.
Borders/Avi for social media
Minimalistic overlay to display notification.
Last Part
I know it is a lot. If you don't want to do anything other than the animation that is fine. I just want to get the animation work and the look of the octopus down before I do anything else. I don't really have a time frame, I am not in a rush to get all of this. If you have any questions, concerns, or anything else feel free to let me know. I will be replying as soon as I can. For credit, I am happy to negotiate that as well. I can have a panel below the stream, a chat command, or if you can think of something else feel free to let me know. Also, I know you are supposed to pay artists more for their work if this is used for business purposes. This is more a hobby than a business so I don't know how to go about that. I am open to your opinions on the credit aspect of all this this is all new to me. I am just looking for someone to help me with my ideas.
Thank you if you made it this far for considering the job. I hope you have a wonderful day. If this is something that you might enjoy doing, I look forward to potentially working with you.
