This is a very, very specific problem. Do not attempt it if you have not done it before. I have 10 years experience of Drupal programming and have created many, many views handlers before. I have spent days searching the internet for an answer - there are none. Do NOT think you will be able to solve this by searching the internet - the answer is not there.
I need a sort handler that orders the rendered output of a views pseudo field.
You will need to download the attached module and enable it
Then create 3 basic page nodes - with titles "1", "2", "3" - that's all that is needed.
Create a view of this content type (basic page). Make it a table. Just add the title field (this is done automatically). Then add my global field "Random Number"
Save the view.
Now your job is to add code to the SortPluginBase that I have created, but left empty (because I have no clue how to do it) which will order the view based on the output of the rendered Random Field from my FieldPluginBase that I have created for you.
Do NOT create a solution that does not rely on data generated by the rendered field.
If you know the answer it will take a few minutes to create the code. Indeed, you will not even have to create the view or the nodes. It will be the quickest £150 you will have earnt (and you deserve it).
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS JOB unless you have already solved it.
The challenge has been set.
