Core Upgrades A website with a databse platform is written in Ruby on Rails, there have been several new versions released since the platform was last updated. The first step would be to upgrade all libraries and dependencies and re-test the platform to ensure it is functioning correctly once upgraded, this will introduce newer capabilities allowing several complicated sections of code to be refactored. This will make future maintenance easier whilst ensuring security is maintained.
Design Refresh The design is now dated by 2 years and would benefit from a refresh with a level of gloss added, again, the CSS libraries that are in use will need to be upgraded. Several pages within the portal such as case management could be improved on mobile devices, which will be a focal point of this element.
Design a linked Landing Page Need to create an engaging landing page to improve conversion rates, this page will be linked directly to social media marketing efforts.
Support Tickets Managing communications will quickly become unmanageable without a ticketing solution in place. Need to set up an off the shelf solution hooked up to a subdomain, white-labelled with your brand. All support queries can be managed via this platform.
App Improvements Need to improve the Android and iOS apps by bringing them both up to date, we will also implement the push notifications for the iOS app (Android app already supports them).
Ongoing Maintenance It is important to monitor the platform closely to ensure that the level of hosting is suitable in relation to the demand the platform is receiving. Likewise, the managed database will need to be monitored. Need to hook the platform up to several services that will monitor page load times in realtime whilst using Google Analytics to monitor traffic. This will need to be assessed monthly, 5 hours a month for the first three months should be adequate for these purposes.
If it works out smoothly, then there will be ongoing support and maintenance work available.
