Local CPA firm currently has an opening for a high level full-charge bookkeeper and payroll preparer that has experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, and liability payments & reports.
The primary responsibilities include entering and maintaining accounting data in QuickBooks for various clients as well as payroll and related payroll tax reporting - both Federal and State.
Experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, sales tax, 1099s/W-2s and basic understanding of financial statements is imperative. Some light tax return preparation available for the right candidate.
Qualified candidates must have: • At least 5+ year's experience with accounting software (QuickBooks and QuickBooks online experience preferred) • Experience with financial statement preparation and year-end close • Previous CPA firm experience preferred • Strong communication and analytical skills • Self-motivated • Ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments • Manage priorities and meet deadlines • Ability to grasp new concepts and systems quickly • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
